Before creating her legendary perfume House, Annick Goutal had already begun exploring sensoriality through the development of skincare.
She dreamed of skincare products that were both simple and concentrated in natural active ingredients. With this in mind, she created her first avant-garde line integrating the benefits of lettuce sap with the support of a highly renowned Swiss dermatologist in the 1980s.

Mrs. Annick Goutal was truly in love with roses. Every moment of her life was filled with them as she believed in their sensorial properties and their beneficial powers on the skin. She added drops of rose essence to her bathwater, drank it in secret teas...

To expand upon the intuition of the perfume creator, biologists delved into the properties of the rose and its components. They were able to unveil the element that hid the powerful effects of Annick Goutal's favourite flower on the skin: rose sap and its exceptional concentration of natural active ingredients that ensure its unique anti-ageing action...

Active rose sap is a powerful, natural, vital elixir full of trace elements (magnesium, calcium, etc.) and concentrated in vitamins (A, E, F, and C) renowned for their hydrating power and effectiveness in fighting signs of ageing.
Each day, the sap contained in the rose bush rises up to the leaves where it is literally activated by sunbeams during photosynthesis. Enriched and overactivated in vitamins, it then moves back down to nourish and revitalise the plant.
